RoboCup Junior Queensland will be organising workshops in Brisbane, South East Queensland and North Queensland in 2020.

RoboCup workshop - Introduction to standard and lightweight soccer
Date: Wednesday 29/5/19
Time: 9am – 2:30pm
Venue: North Lakes State College – Endeavour Building (corner of Endeavour Boulevarde and The Corso) – All day parking opposite North Lakes Transit Centre in fenced paddock along The Corso
Description: Beginner workshop for teachers and students for entry level Soccer division for participation in RoboCup competitions.
- robot and two light sensors, compass sensor optional

- charging cords for use at charging station
- lunch and morning tea (canteen available, coffee shop for teachers)

20th May 2019 - Darling Downs Pre-Competition Workshop: Faith Lutheran College Plainlands:
RoboCup Junior Qld and Faith Lutheran College Plainlands are holding a Pre-Competition Workshop that provides teachers and students with the opportunity to practice in any of the RoboCup Junior Challenges in a supported environment. Teachers can attend to design, build and program their own OnStage, Rescue or Soccer robots to compete against their students on the day! This professional development and workshop training opportunity gives teams advice, some insights into the competitions and an opportunity to learn from both their peers and experts in these challenges.
The workshop will run from 9:30am until 2:00pm on Monday 20th May 2019 at Faith Lutheran College Plainlands.
Introduction to RoboCup Junior Regional Workshop Series:
RoboCup Junior Qld is hosting an Introduction to the challenges workshop that will cover: starting a team, practical activities using the LEGO EV3 Mindstorms robots in the three challenges: OnStage, Rescue and Soccer. Participants will learn about the challenges and how to program the EV3 to meet the challenges, as well as have an opportunity to explore ideas using the EV3 robots.
